Shipping Charges: Because of recent changes in postal shipping rates, it has come necessary to raise our shipping charges. It will be necessary to contact Tom Talpey or Gwen Gaskell at the addresses above, to acertain the amount required. Generally it will be in the range of $5 to $10 per item, depending the zone to which it will be shipped.
Both the 1886 and 1976 Washington histories have been reprinted and may be purchased from the Town Clerk at the Town Hall during office hours: Thursday 4PM to 9PM; Friday 9AM to 3PM; Last Saturday of the month: 9AM to 1PM. Telephone 603-495-3667. Shipping by special arrangement.

The Washington Historical Society is pleased to inform you that an extraordinary book entitled Historical Pillsbury by Ronald and Grace Jager has been reprinted and is available for sale. The book recounts the history of a fabled area of Washington, NH, known as Cherry Valley. From the era of sawmills in the 1700's to the present-day Pillsbury State Park. Its 65 pages contain historical photographs and maps. The book may be ordered from The Friends of Pillsbury State Park.
In the summer of 2005 the Washington Congregational Church celebrated it's 225th Anniversary. An interesting book of its history was written by Ronald and Grace Jager, which is available through the church.

ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP DUES are $5 for an individual and $10 for a family (including children under 16). The membership year is August 1 through July 31. If you haven't sent a payment since last June, your membership may have lapsed. (Donations are welcomed at any time, of course!) We appreciate your continued interest and support of our projects. New members are always welcome. If you would like to join us as a member, please complete our membership form.
